TOHOシネマズ 中部・関西地区にて盗撮防止セミナーを開催しました August.29.2014

On August 29, 2014, Japan and International Motion Picture Copyright Association (JIMCA) conducted a “Movie Camcording Prevention Seminar”at the Nishi-Nihon (Western Japan) office of TOHO Cinemas Ltd. in Kita-Ward, Osaka-City, for all TOHO Cinemas’ movie theater managers and supervisors working in the third district of the Chubu and Kansai regions. The seminar was also held on August 28, for employees from the first district at TOHO Cinemas Tsushima located in Tsushima-City, Aichi Prefecture.

The seminars were held in conjunction with the TOHO Cinemas’ regional managers meetings. A JIMCA representative, responsible for the Piracy Hotline of “Let’s Go to the Cinema!” Committee’s Anti Illegal Activity Management Office, served as a lecturer, providing updates on the contact status of the Piracy Hotline, the latest “Movie Camcording Prevention Manual”and tips on how to handle special cases.

The application “MAKE A DIFFERENCE 4 (MAD4)/ URL: www.mad4.org” for smartphones distributed across the Asia-Pacific Region by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) to prevent illegal recording activities in cinemas was also introduced at the seminars. Cinema staff in Japan can easily input the information of illegal recordings using various handheld devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Android, and report it to the Piracy Hotline.

JIMCA is able to answer any queries or requests to provide seminars for any interested exhibitor. Please feel free to contact us.
